Websites are living systems, not static projects. In this 3-hour, interactive workshop, Chris Conley & Kegan Sovay of Thread will show you how to design flexible digital systems that evolve with your clients’ needs. Learn how to blend expressive design with systems thinking, align teams around patterns, and care for a site post-launch with tools that support long-term growth.

Participants will learn:

  • A framework for designing scalable, system-driven websites

  • How to maintain consistency without sacrificing creativity

  • Strategies for aligning designers, developers, and content teams

  • Practical methods for evolving and maintaining digital platforms

Materials needed:

  • Pencil and/or pen and paper or tablet for sketching

  • A device with Figma installed

Chris Conley & Kegan Sovay

Chris Conley and Kegan Sovay are the design and development leads behind Thread, a multi disciplinary creative studio known for elegant systems, thoughtful interactions, and digital experiences that scale with time and intention.

Chris is a creative director focused on systems thinking and intuitive storytelling. Kegan is a creative developer who brings these systems to life through beautifully precise and purposeful code.

Together, they’ve helped brands like Passenger Coffee, Unreasonable Hospitality, invisible Creature, and Bursera Capital  build scalable web systems that evolve with the brand—not against it.
